Series 3 Anglia DeLuxe from 1960 with the 997cc, 40 HP engine.
This was a Texas barn find car with original low mileage of 17K. The previous owner brought the car to CA and did a comprehensive amateur restoration. The car is super clean and straight. I cannot see any evidence of it ever being hit or rusted. The car was striped to bare metal and the correct color applied. All stainless and chrome was either replaced or restored. All new window gaskets and excellent glass. New lamps, lenses and grill. I do notice a bit of bondo in the lower right front fender.
The car was recently painted before I got it and it would benefit from a color sanding and buff to make it pop. There is a quart of paint left with car if needed. The interior was completely painted and redone as shown in photos in correct colors. All window felt, carpet, door cards, escutcheons, were replaced as well. Headliner is new. It also has a blue tooth system installed.
The engine was largely left original with new rubber and gaskets as needed. It does drip some oil. It would benefit from a carb rebuild at this point since I hardly drive it. Battery, starter, radiator, exhaust, gas tank, brakes, and tires all new. The 4 speed has a non synchro first gear and shifts well. Can send video of engine running. It is healthy. All electrics function. I purchased the car to install a Cortina or Zetec power plant (see last photo). These cars are now very sought after to do this upgrade. I do not have the energy or funds to proceed any further. The restoration costs on this car alone were $14K. CA title is clear and in my name.
