1970 Ford Mustang Mach 1 428 Cobra Jet 4 Spd. This is a rotisserie restored vehicle with no expense spared. It is factory optioned with the R code 428 CJ, Ram Air Shaker hood, and 3.50 Traction Lock rear differential. This mustang was originally optioned with a C6 automatic transmission but was correctly changed to a 4-speed manual (Top Loader Large Input Shaft Close Ratio) shortly after it was new in 1970. This car is factory equipped with Power Steering, Power Front Disk and Rear Drum Brakes, Tachometer, Tilt Steering Wheel, Sports Deck Rear Folding Seat, Deluxe Seat Belts and Factory Tinted Glass. It also has the Factory Front and Rear Spoilers, Rear Window Sports Slats, AM/FM Deluxe Stereo Radio, Intermittent Wipers and 15″ Magnum 500 Wheels. The original 14″ wheels and deluxe hubcaps come with brand new RWL bias ply tires for Concourse shows. The much sought after Rev Limiter is also currently in place.
All Restoration work has been done to Concourse standards, with a few areas, such as paint and detailing that exceed the original level of quality to be found from new. This build was not done as a “flipper” for an Auction house, but as a “no cost spared’ car to be kept. I am the 4th owner and have most all of the registration cards from the mid-seventies to date. This was the 6th Mustang off of the San Jose assembly line in August of 1969. It still retains the original California blue plates and Dealer frames. Also note this car has not seen water since it was color sanded and reassembled. Always kept garaged in a climate controlled inside environment.
