This 1931 Chevrolet LT 1.5 Ton Pickup was part of my father’s car collection of over a dozen classics. He bought it from a farm in western Nebraska in 1996. I don’t have specific notes on when, but most of the original restoration would have been done in the late 90’s/early 2000’s. That is when the paint and engine work would have been done. I do have notes that in 2013/2014 he took it out of storage and restored it with a new interior, repaired exhaust, redid the brakes and carburetor and had a woodworker make a brand new hickory box for it.
The truck does start up and drive. It has a little over 34K original miles on it. This is the 131″ wheelbase version and does have the more attractive dual rear wheels.
The interior is restored to be original style and is in very good condition. The new truck bed is beautiful (see photos) and really makes the truck stand out. A great example of a 30’s working farm truck. It turns a lot of heads as is but is also a great base is you want to add your own branding or historical livery to it as a showcase vehicle. Would do great in parades as a way to show off a business or organization.
Overall in good condition with a few minor issues as noted in the photos. Specifically the chip out of the wood bed in the rear, small amount of rust behind the drivers door, some nicks and dings to the front bumper and cracks on both front fenders (which is apparently a common place on these models).
